Funk Rating: 9 out of 10
Harry Bosch rocks, and I get a bit of a kick out of Mickey Haller. This is not one of the deep, brooding Bosch books, but rather a well-written, entertaining merger of the Lincoln Lawyer and the new version Harry Bosch that is a bit of a tough guy.
Some great twists and turns, and another classic Connelly ending where there isn't complete closure, but yet there is satisfaction of a well-done story. The backdrop, as always, is unsolved murder(s), and that's a bit depressing. But it's a fine, fine tale, and it belongs in the Connelly collection.
Well done!
